Appeal & Flexibility:  

While it might not be as cutting-edge as it once was, the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer Deluxe still offers a lot in the way of multimedia and importing/exporting. Unfortunately, these features aren't as streamlined as other scrapbooking software suites, often making these processes difficult.

Importing:  

The Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer Deluxe provides for both scanner and direct digital camera importing.

Design Features:  

The Creating Keepsakes photo workshop gives you a full toolbox for photo editing. It also includes special photo effects, such as brush effects, stamps, filters, warps and more. These extra tools are comparable to what you'd find on your average  photo editing software suite, but is designed with the digital scrapbooker in mind. The tools are easy enough to understand  to get you started without delay.

Output Options:  

You can share your finished projects on paper, through email, as screen savers, or even as a slide show. You can also upload your scrapbook creations to Broderbund online for others to enjoy. You can also save images to your hard drive or disc under categories you name for easy and organized retrieval.

Ease of Use:  

Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer Deluxe is a very deep product, offering a great deal of templates, themes and embellishments. And surprisingly, the design tools keep up the pace with the complexities that are bound to arise with so many options. 

Help & Support:  

The help section is easy to reach from most screens. Creating Keepsakes has written tutorials that explain how to get started. The program is easy to learn. After experimenting with features you’ll feel like a pro in no time. However, Broderbund doesn't provide telephone support or a user manual for Creating Keepsakes. 

While it lacks most of the multimedia capabilities offered by other scrapbooking software suites, Creating Keepsakes still isn't half-bad.
