Polaroid My Memories Suite nabbed the "TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award" for Mac scrapbooking software. Equipped with a nice selection of design tools and effects, this fully-featured program will satisfy any discriminating scrappbooker. Standout Features:
We felt that Polaroid My Memories Suite’s greatest appeal was the number of ways to share an album from movies burned on DVDs or loaded onto iPods, to print and interactive albums; not to mention the photobooks, calendars and greeting cards you can order through the developer's web site.
During the review process, we encountered a couple of drawbacks. We felt the photo editing and re-sizing were rather limited. We also found that you can’t change colors of embellishments. This is understandable on dimensional or colored objects but it would be nice to change color of the black and white line art to match layout.
Polaroid My Memories Suite has an average selection of digital elements (papers, embellishments and so on.) Can use existing digital elements as well as purchase new ones from their store. They also offer a very small selection of free downloads. You must set up an account to do this (complete with address and phone number) but you don’t have to provide a credit card for the free downloads.
It’s a simple matter to import pages from other Polaroid My Memories Suite albums as well as adding video, music or narration, links to web sites or additional files or even to other album pages.
One snag we found was that we could only use third-party digital elements if they were imported as photos and then adding drop shadows is a hit-and-miss proposition. You can add them but occasionally the shadow won’t follow the clipped-out image but instead is added to the element’s box and not the element itself.
